I believe songs can change lives.
Instantly, the atmosphere begins to change. Instead of circumstantial reaction, there is a supernatural response. Fear gives way to faith. Opposition gives way to opportunity. A transformation occurs.
Praying God while in chains can actually break them (Read Acts 16). What used to seem overwhelming is overwhelmed by Wonder, Majesty, and Power of our God.

We can tend to think that God accepts our offerings of musical worship because of our skill, efforts, practice, or sincerity. If that were the case, our offerings wouldn’t be accepted at all.
Harold Best reminds us that all our offerings “are at once humble and exalted by the strong, saving work of Jesus Christ” (Best, Music through the Eyes of Faith [HarperOne, 1993], 156).
They’re humbled because none of our songs would reach God’s ears apart from the song of our Savior. Our song is joined with his song; his glorious, perfect song of praise. What exalts our offerings is that God receives our songs as though Christ himself were singing them. Amazing, isn’t it?
There have been times when I’ve listened to recordings of myself leading worship and thought, “That’s horrible. How can God put up with that?” He can because he hears what we do through his Son. Certainly there’s a place for skill, practice, and sincerity in our worship. But our faith is not in what we do. It’s in what Jesus has accomplished on our behalf and in our place at the cross.

A word from Donna Taylor; January 2018
I call you, “Worshipper”. For I ordained “worship” to be your name and your divine calling when I created this world.
I breathed My Spirit of worship into you as you were formed in the womb. Your worshipping spirit beats to the rhythm of my passionate heart. I have called you to be the leader of My worshipping Warrior army.
Your worship of Me with your time, your talents, your passions, your dreams and your desire draws others into My presence. As you yield yourself to me, I speak through you in prophetic messages and in awesome praise of My Lordship.
My kingdom comes and My will is done in and through your life of worship.
I delight in you My precious daughter. You fill Me with joy. The depth of My love for you is beyond measure and comprehension.
Lovingly, Abba
