About Me

Here’s the thing… I don’t class myself as a “writer”.  I have never written an essay.  I don’t write notes or lists.  Although I did start journalling in November 2015, I like it for the most part?! It is just not something I have ever done or felt qualified to do. My journalling is mostly prayers to God and God speaking to me through writing.

I should be able to come up with something! Right?!  It is after all “about me”.

I don’t feel I have fancy enough words.  I am too plain and a ‘to the point kind‘ of a writer.

Okay yah I am stalling, thinking “really God?! Writing?!  You want me to write “about me”?

Okay here it goes.

I was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario Canada.  We call it “The Hammer”.

I am a 70 year old mother of 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandson!  Two daughters and three sons.  My daughter Katheleen and my son Richard passed away.  Katheleen was 33 and Richard was 34.  My remaining three are my daughter Lisa and my two sons John and Bryce.

I love animals. I dream of owning a 2 bedroom bungalow out in the country. It will have a fenced in area for a dog or two. It will have small little barns/sheds for rescuing stray and feral cats. Of course it will have a huge deck with sliding glass doors off the kitchen. A wrap around porch with ginger bread as trim is definitely a must. Beautiful landscaped gardens with stepping stones going all through out. Dreams are wonderful things

My passions are singing, worshiping, and playing my keyboard.

I also love ice cream cones and coffee.

There is much more to me than this.  Browse my website for all the other stuff I am into!

Welcome!

My name is Betty Cooper-Pauls and I invite you into my story. It’s personal. It’s hard. It’s emotional. But I share it because I believe I have something to say that will help others.

Favorite Quote…

From Heaven to earth come down:.
He laid aside His royalty
I simply want you to be reminded that He was real. His sandals flapped when He walked down the road. His hair was misshapen when He awakened. He had to brush the bread crumbs off His beard after He ate. The muscles in His arms flexed when He lifted His little brothers and sisters. He had hair on His arms and warmth in His palms. He was the Son of God and the Son of man. Fathom the unfathomable.
